The September 25th, 2008 blog entry 'All about Smith Dodd' observed that the web site of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs appeared to be an extended paean to the greatness that is Senator Chris Dodd (see the screen capture above). I say "was" because Dodd did not seek re-election and retired in January 2010...
How exactly has the country managed to survive without Dodd at the helm? How has the financial health of the country not crumbled without his steady hand on the tiller? That's one of those mysteries that might never be solved, perhaps along with the truth about aliens and UFOs and Area 51...
Anyway, kidding aside, Dodd is to have a new job - Chairman and CEO of The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), cashing in as a lobbyist, along with most of the others in this latest crop of Senate retirees...
